HOT CHOCOLATE Philly 15K Recap

I LOVED this race!!!!!  LOVED!!  It was so much fun, so well organized, such a beautiful course, amazing weather and the most delicious CHOCOLATE at the finish line!

So worth the race!

I was so excited for the Finishers Treats that I had to post them first!

The start line was super easy to get to and parking was not hard to find at all!  I carpooled with all my amazing running girls!

Gear check very simple and super organized!

They ever have a Kid Zone filled with bouncy houses and games!

My lovely running friends pre-race!  Yup I look like I am wearing pajamas but it was a little chilly so these are my throw away clothes!

The start of the race was smooth and went off easily .. I started in corral J ( the second corral ) because this was my first 15k and I really didn't know what to expect since Boston is 2 weeks away!

I finished in 1:09 and grabbed 2nd in my AG!  I kept the pace comfortable and really wished I had pushed myself harder but played it safe!

Katie and Dawn had an awesome race also ... I love these girls!

Jen ran her tail off too!

My splits ... I am hoping to repeat this for the Boston Marathon!!

So if there is a Hot Chocolate 5k/15k close to you it is a MUST do race!  I think the 15k distance is perfect.  I will definitely be doing this race again.
